James Bailey

Account Manager

James has been working in the travel industry for over 5 years and has experience working directly for a tourist board, representation agency and most recently on the advertising / marketing side with MDS.

After graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2011 with a Bachelor in Marketing and Management, James began working for the Regional Tourism Organisation (Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd.) where he undertook the role of Marketing and Membership coordinator. It was his responsibility to engage with the industry, facilitate networking events and assist in all marketing aspects to drive maximum visitation to the Sunshine Coast.

His love for travel and the vibrant industry continued in late 2012 when he decided to relocate to London in order to obtain some international experience. Shortly after arriving in London, he accepted a short term contract as a Marketing Executive working for Tourism and Events Queensland.

Since January 2013, James has been working for MDS and now holds the position of Account Manager. He has been responsible for developing and implementing integrated campaigns for clients all over the world across all types of media.

Interesting fact: People never seem to believe me when I tell them that I’m a twin! And are even more surprised that we’re complete opposites. I’ve also now lived in 5 different countries (New Zealand, Australia, Germany, UK, France).
